Put simply, Leaders are readers.

You can't put out what you don't put in.

Student ministry leaders need a balanced diet of good reading material.

The Reading Lounge is the portion of this site that provides you with book reviews and hot book picks. We are not limiting ourselves to books that will enhance your ministry to young people. We'll be reviewing and suggesting books that will help you as a child of God. We want to provide you with book review and selections that will help to develop your communication skills, enhance relationships with your spouse, family and friends, to deal with the practical areas of your life as well as the spiritual.

We will have guest contributors providing content on this page to give you broad ranging perspectives.

Get ready to open yourself up to a whole new world as we flip the pages of inspiring books in The Reading Lounge.

Please be advised that music and books reviewed on The Knock and The Reading Lounge are for the purpose of providing information to our subscribers that will assist them in making informed decisions about elements of today's youth culture. Because the nature of student ministry is dynamic and requires student ministers to be well-versed in their knowledge of diverse musical and literary genres, occasionally we review books and music that are authored by people who may not have the same doctrinal beliefs and/or approaches to lifestyle issues.

The General Youth Division provides these reviews as an informational resource only and not an actual endorsement of the doctrinal beliefs and/or lifestyles that the authors or musicians may espouse.
